This course on Information and Research literacy will equip you with the necessary skills to use information and communication technologies and their applications to access and create information.
The purpose of the course is to revisit the assigning of Library of Congress Subject Headings (LCSH). The course is suitable for novice cataloguers who are new to assigning LCSH, as well as experienced cataloguers looking for a refresher course. The course will consist of two parts. Part 1 will cover the philosophy of subject analysis.
Part 2 will focus on the practical assigning of LCSH. Completion of Part 1 of the course and its associated test is a prerequisite for participation in Part 2.
